Can we all just agree that dessert dips on the best? I love having a sweet dip that is fast and simple. This recipe is literally like having a pumpkin pie but in mini serving sizes. The kids think that the cute little pumpkin crust crisps are “almost” too cute to eat but they quickly get over it and gobble it all up.
Even though this is technically a fall dessert recipe, I don’t mind the kids grabbing a few dips in between meals. I love that it has pumpkin puree in it which brings a few other extra health benefits to the table as well.
Since this recipe is unique and fun, I like having it as an after-school treat for the kids, too. When they come in the door and see the dip sitting on the table, they’re literally all ready to dive right in!
And if you’re making this as a sweet treat for the weekend, have the kids jump in and help with the recipe. This is one easy fall dip that they can easily create right along with you.
If you’re a prepper and like to make things ahead of time, this dip can be made the day before and stored in the fridge until you’re ready to eat. I wouldn’t make the crisps until the day of so that they hold that fresh and crispy texture. Ingredients Needed For Pumpkin Pie Dip
Ingredients for the Chips:
- 2 packages refrigerated pie crust
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Ingredients for the Dip:
- 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
- 1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
How To Make Pumpkin Pie Dip with Pie Crust Chips
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Unroll the pie crust and use a pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the chips.
Continue rolling out the dough and cutting out shapes until all the dough has been used.
Place the pie crust chips on a baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
Combine the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over the top of the chips.
Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until golden brown and crisp. Allow to cool completely before serving.
While the chips are baking, prepare the dip by beating together the cream cheese, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin spice.
Fold in the whipped topping.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
