20 Festive DIY Advent Calendars

My kids LOVE Advent Calendars. There’s so much to love about this fun way you countdown to  Christmas. This fun tradition has been a favorite in our home since the kids were little. So it’s always a blast to break out the fun when December 1st hits. Advent Calendars  are a great way to countdown to Christmas. Advent is the four-week period beginning on the Sunday nearest the feast day of St. Andrew the Apostle (November 30) through the following three Sundays.

However, there really isn’t much variety out there and many times all you find are the typical chocolate filled ones.

I love the idea of making them unique and not just about gifts but some fun surprises as well. What better way to personalize the fun than with a fun round up of 20 Festive DIY Advent Calendars.

So check out this  fun way to personalize a fun tradition for your little ones or a significant other. These are some really fun and great ideas that will be a fun surprise for the whole month long. Some are super easy to make and others are a little more intricate ,but regardless tons of fun to make. What way will you be counting down to Christmas?

I love advent calenders. We have a tradition of getting a chocolate advent calender for each of the kids. They love it. I think it would be fun to make our own though.
