No Bake Popcorn Bars

Simple & Delicious No Bake Popcorn Bars

Can we all just stop and agree that popcorn is such an amazing snack. It’s great for a salty snack or super fun when it’s sweet, too. The great thing about these popcorn bars is that you get a little bit of both worlds. The crunch of the popcorn, the sweetness of the chocolate, and the ease of making them in a few short moments of time.

If you’re ready to create a tasty treat for the kids that you’re going to enjoy as well, this is the one for you. I also love that these are cut into bars and are easy to grab and go as you’re walking by the kitchen!

Ingredients needed to make Popcorn Bars

Just gather up the list of ingredients to getting started.

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup corn syrup
  • 1 10-ounce package mini marshmallows
  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup mini M&Ms

How To Make Popcorn Bars

Place the butter in a large stockpot and melt over medium-low heat.

Add the marshmallows and corn syrup and stir, cooking over low heat until melted.

Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the popcorn.

Add the chocolate chips and stir to combine.

Press the mixture into a 9×13 pan. Top with mini M&Ms and press the candy into the bars.

Allow to cool completely, then cut into bars and serve.

Fun Suggestions for Popcorn Bars

The other really fun thing about this simple popcorn dessert recipe is that you can change it up to add in whatever ingredients you’d like. While I’m a chocolate girl, why stop there? You can make it taste however you’d like!

Some other delicious ingredients to consider adding could be:

  • Different flavored chocolate chips
  • Shredded coconuts
  • Sprinkles

And those are just a few. You can even drizzle the top with some melted chocolate or melted caramel as well to really take the flavor out of this world.

How to store popcorn bars

Make certain that you store any leftover popcorn bars in an airtight container for later. If you leave them out and open, the bars will lose a bit of their crunch fast.
