Ooey Gooey Deliciousness
What’s not to love about Ooey Gooey Funfetti bars!? I mean the name alone provokes my heart to flutter. These Funfetti bars have become an absolute favorite in our home. It’s gotten to the point where it’s almost expected for me to make them during certain events, or times. They are so crazy easy to make that you’ll be able to make them with your eyes closed. Best of all they’re so flexible in what you include in them that they’ll be amazing no matter how much or how little you add of an item.
The base of this bar is simple Yellow Cake mix. However, In a Pinch I’ve actually used white, and chocolate chip cookie mix. The only crucial ingredients to have on hand though are the sprinkles, condensed milk and chocolate chips.
Read on to see how easy they are to make. Most important to note, these are extremely addictive and I’ve had to get creative on where to hide them from my family when I make them.
What you’ll Need:
A box of yellow cake mix (although I’ve used white as well and they’re just as good)
1 egg
One stick of butter softened.
1/2 can of a 14 oz can of condensed milk
1/2- 1 cup of chocolate chip cookies
2/3 cup of sprinkles divided
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 8×8” pan with foil and spray liberally with cooking spray.
Add cake mix, butter, and egg to the bowl Mix until a dough forms. Add half of the sprinkles and mix well.
Press about 1/2 of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Pour sweetened condensed milk over the top of dough
and add sprinkles and chocolate chips.
Separate remaining dough into small balls and evenly space over the top of the bars. Press down to flatten.
Bake for 45-50 minutes and cut when completely cooled or they won’t separate into bars.
I’m not going to lie these are so amazing and will become a favorite in your home. You can go heavier with the chocolate and sprinkles or Lighter as I do in the video below.
Either way they are an amazing treat. Check out how easy they are to make below on this video:

I would like to make in a 9’13 pan. Do you know how I would modify recipe? Would I double?

I don’t have any experience with condensed milk. What’s the purpose of using it? Thanks.

I wonder if you could do this for a lemon bar…with lemon head candies, LOL! Lemon bars are very good and give that tartness that can be refreshing compared to regular sweet bars. I’d totally eat both types, though!
Love your easy recipe here and I am so looking forward to making this with the grandchildren next weekend when they visit,

I don’t know much about baking, but can you use less butter to lower the calories? I have such a sweet tooth, but am wanting to watch my calories better. Thanks!
I bet there isn’t a way to reduce the amount of butter. What about substitution?
