Goya Maria Cookies are one of my favorite cookies around. They’re perfect with a Cafecito, hot chocolate, or alone. Growing up in a Cuban household you always found these in the pantry. My grandmother would always have these on a plate with Guava and cream cheese for a delicious merienda, or afternoon snack. These are a popular treat not just in Cuban households but throughout central and south America! I’ve even used them as the crust for my delicious Guava cheesecake with Maria cookie crust!
The sky’s the limit to what I can create with these delicious treats. I had the inspiration to create these when I used made my 4 ingredient Ritz Cracker treats.

How to make Goya Maria Cookies Marshmallow Treats
Makes 9 treats
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cooling time: 2 hours
What you need to make Goya Maria Cookies Marshmallow Treats
2 7-ounce packages Maria cookies, crushed
4 cups mini marshmallows
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions for making Maria Cookie Marshmallow treats
Heat the marshmallows and butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until melted, stirring between each interval.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Add the crushed cookies and stir until the cookies are coated in marshmallow mixture.
Spread the mixture in a greased 8×8 baking dish and allow it to cool for at least 2 hours before cutting and serving.
Just cut them out and serve! These are such a delicious treat that everyone will fall in love with!
