There are so many things to do and see in Miami,FL. Here are 4 Reasons to Visit Miami Seaquarium and make it a must stop on your list. Although I was given complimentary admission to the Miami Seaquarium to facilitate my review, my love of this place is 100% mine.
Living in Florida, there is no shortage of fun Summer activities to enjoy with the family. Summer is a great opportunity to get out and explore! I was excited to take my kids to the Miami Seaquarium for the first time. The Miami Seaquarium is a great place to spend a day, with its 38 acres located in gorgeous Key Biscayne, Florida. With all there is to see and do, here are 4 reasons to visit the Miami Seaquarium with your family.
- EXCITING SHOWS
There are 4 great shows at the Miami Seaquarium. My kids love dolphins, so I knew we had to make it to the Top Deck Dolphin Show. We saw adorable bottlenose dolphins leaping, rolling and doing tricks. The dolphins can be seen from the deck during the show or you can look at them underwater at the lower level. Check out the Killer Whale and Dolphin show or the Golden Dome Sea Lion show, too. Miami Seaquarium recommends that you allow at least 4 hours to be able to enjoy all of their marine life shows and exhibits.
2. ANIMAL EXHIBITS AND ENCOUNTERS
We walked around and saw lots of animals, like turtles, crocodiles, stingrays, dolphins, and Florida Manatees. With a separate ticket, you can meet and interact with penguins, dolphins, and even swim with seals!
3. EDUCATION
A trip to the Miami Seaquarium is full of opportunities to learn more about marine wildlife. As you meander through the park you will see lots of information about each type of animal. My kids had fun listening to the sounds different types of dolphins make and how they communicate. Did you know that dolphins do not have vocal chords? Or that a Killer Whale is a type of dolphin? I didn’t know that either! Also, in every show, the presenter gives facts about animal conservation and tips on what you can do to help.
4. PLAYGROUNDS
The kids can run and play at Salty’s Pirate Playground. For bigger kids, Sharky’s Sky trail is a multi-level aerial obstacle course. It’s always a great idea to give kids a chance to run around and have some fun. While it’s great to see exhibits and shows, I like letting the kids take the reins for a little bit and just see what they come up with.
Check out one of the souvenir photos you can purchase when you leave the park.
This Summer, Miami Seaquarium’s Splashtacular Summer runs from June 10 – August 20. Don’t miss out on this awesome fun time for the kids. During this event, there are seven waterslides, Super Soakers and Geysers to help your little ones have a blast and stay cool! Conservamom readers can take $5 off the price of admission between June 6 – August 31, 2017 by clicking here.
Most important don’t forget to get social With The Miami Seaquarium on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

I always like a good big aquarium. I hope to get there soon. I’ll wait until there is some hurricane infrastructure recovery, because then they will need all the tourists they can get to get back on their feet. This looks like quite a great place!

I knew Florida would have to have some aquariums being near an ocean, etc. But I never guessed how GREAT this Miami Seaquarium is! In my opinion, I would make it a must stop on next visit. I do love to learn about our cold blooded swimmers! I know my family would love it too! I would have to make a whole day of it! Thanks for the coupon and for sharing another reason to visit Florida again! I had to pin this so I won’t forget it ? ?

I love to visit seaquariums but not one close to me. The one in Miami sounds wonderful and my 4 year old great grand daughter would love this. She loves fish and dolphins. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, what a great and fun place to visit. I wish I lived closer so I could take my grandchildren to visit. The sea world has always fascinated me and I’m sure it would fascinate my grandchildren too.

This aquarium sounds exciting and pretty much the saw like the one we have here in Tampa. But I think this one is bigger and better in Miami, oops! Lol I have been down to Miami once and I would love to visit everywhere. Will keep this in mind if we get to visit Miami one day! I know my girls would love to walk around and see all the aquatic creatures! Thanks for the heads up and the tips!

sounds fun! I’ll check it out if I’m in the area. I did not know those dolphin fun facts either. And 38 acres is quite a bit of space 🙂
