Witches Hat Treats Filled with candy!
Who says trick or treating has to happen outside? The kids will LOVE seeing these cute witches hats only to discover that they’re full of candy as well. It’s a fun way to make Halloween happy early in your house with minimal effort on your part.
This would also be a super fun activity to do with the kids so that they can be a part of the creative fun! The more that you can spend time together in the kitchen, the better. Some of my best memories growing up were in the kitchen learning the tricks and tips for baking.
I’ve also whipped up these fun Halloween treats for class parties or fun house parties, too. No matter who eats them, they’re always surprised at what is waiting inside!
Makes 12 hats
Prep time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
1 package Oreo sugar ice cream cones (Joy brand)
12 pizzelle cookies (mine were from Aldi)
Orange icing (I used Pillsbury Funfetti All-Star Orange)
1 9-ounce package Reese’s Pieces
Instructions:
Spray the color mist over the pizzelle cookies and allow them to dry completely.
Fill each cone with Reese’s Pieces.
Fill a piping bag with orange icing and pipe a line of icing around the top of each cone.
Press the center of the pizzelle cookie onto the cone and place it on a flat surface.
Pipe a line of icing around the edge of the cone, then press an orange Reese’s on the front of the cone.
What other fun treats can you hide inside these Halloween snacks?
You want to be certain that you’re using treats that are easy to eat and go well with the other textures of the treat. Mini M&M’s could be a great choice, as would chocolate chips!
Stay away from anything that is hard that would be a choking hazard for the kids. I like to use anything chocolate-based so that it’s bite after bite of melt-in-your-mouth goodness.
This fun Halloween treat is the perfect ending to any day or a fun surprise for the kids! They’ll love being able to sit down and snack on these adorable witch hats and will LOVE what’s waiting inside!
Add in these fun Halloween Riddles to see if the kids are truly in the Halloween spirit! Or these fun moving eye Halloween portrait crafts as well as these fun Halloween Toilet paper roll crafts!
Since I love the Halloween season, there are always fun things to be found when looking for new ideas and things to do!
