May 19th is Plant Something Day, and Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day® is challenging people to unplug from the craziness of their day-to-day lives, get outside, dig into the dirt and plant their favorite flowers, herbs, vegetables or fruit. And Plant Something Day is a part of a larger effort to get people outside and planting. Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day is offering multiple ways for people to get involved:
- Shop Online: For every order on MrsMeyers.com between May 9 and June 15, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day will donate $5 towards a $20,000 donation to the American Community Garden Association (ACGA).
- Garden in Your Hometown: From May 9 – June 15, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day will include a slip of basil seed paper with every online order – up to 2,500 orders. Even those without a green thumb can plant these seeds with ease: just tear the paper, plant, water and watch it grow.
- Volunteer in Chicago: If you’re located in the Chicago area, join Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day and other volunteers to get your hands dirty at the Global Gardens Refugee Training Farm for a day of planting.
When your dig into the soil, you don’t need to fret the mess. Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day has you covered with plant-derived ingredients and essential oils to powerfully fight dirt and grime.
So unplug and enjoy the beauty outdoors!

I just discovered Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day and absolutely love it! The lemon is my favorite! 🙂 It feels great helping the environment. I am also planning on starting a full on garden to teach my children where food comes from! And to have homegrown fruits and veggies of course, there’s nothing better!

I love the Lemon Verbena scent of the Mrs. Meyers cleaning products! As to the idea of planting something – couldn’t agree more (one of my favorite thing to do!).

I love this idea we have a wonderful garden in our yard full of flowers, veggies, fruit and foliage. Everyone needs to spend an hour a day in nature and if you dont want to or don’t have the time spend two! 🙂 its for our health!
