Easter Cake Mix Cookie Bars
I LOVE Cookie Bars. Like seriously they are my favorite dessert recipe ever. Not just because of how good they are but because I’m not going to lie, I’m Lazy. Especially when you’re in a hurry trying to get a million other things and the sweet tooth hits.
Cookie bars are probably one of the easiest desserts to make because you simply mix the ingredients up and bake in a pan, then cut and eat! You can’t get easier than that! You’ve probably seen some of my past recipes like my Chewey Sugar Cookie Bars or my no-bake Cookie dough bars but this one really is perfection!
This recipe is no different. You’re going to mix in some delicious goodies and ingredients you probably already have on hand, bake and serve. Topped with delicious M&M’s you’ll fall in love with this sweet treat. Making this one of the easiest Easter dessert recipes you’ll find out there. You can even add other Easter Treats like Cadbury Eggs if you like!
Makes 15 cookie bars
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
What you’ll need to make Easter Cookie Bars
1 box of white cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter, melted
¼ cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mini chocolate chips
A cup of Easter M&Ms (I used peanut), plus more for decorating
How to make Easter Cake Mix Cookie Bars
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9×13 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Stir together the cake mix, eggs, butter, water, and vanilla extract.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Spread the batter into the prepared pan & top with M&Ms.
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cookie bars comes out clean.
Remove the pan from the oven and immediately top with additional M&Ms, if desired.
Lightly press the candy into the top of the cookie bars, then allow them to cool completely.
When the cookie bars are cool, cut into 15 pieces to serve.
