Baked Hot Chocolate Donuts: A unique Donut Recipe
Tis’ the season for Hot chocolate. Who doesn’t love hot chocolate? Especially on cold winter days? I’ve got a ton of hot chocolate recipes on my page like my s’mores hot chocolate and snicker’s hot cocoa bombs and decided to get creative with something everyone loves, donuts!
This donut recipe is so fantastic because it’s completely homemade and no need to fiddle with a fryer. These are made easily in donut pans or a donut maker.

Ingredients Needed to make Hot chocolate donuts
1 1/3 cups flour
½ cup hot chocolate mix (2 packets)
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup butter, melted
½ cup mini chocolate chips
For the Glaze:
¼ cup hot chocolate mix (1 packet)
2 tablespoons hot water
1 cup powdered sugar
5 tablespoons butter, melted
For Topping:
Marshmallow bits
Chocolate sprinkles
How to make Baked Hot Chocolate Donuts
Makes 12 donuts
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease two donut pans with nonstick cooking spray.
Whisk together the flour, hot chocolate mix, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, and vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Add the butter and stir until mixed.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pipe the batter into the donut pans and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the donuts spring back when pressed down with your finger.
Allow the donuts to cool in the pan until the pan is safe to touch, then flip them over onto a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
When the donuts are cool, prepare the glaze by mixing together the hot chocolate mix and hot water.
When well combined, add the powdered sugar and butter and whisk until smooth.
Dip the top of each donut in the glaze,
then immediately decorate the donut with marshmallow bits and chocolate sprinkles.
