Things they don’t tell you about pregnancy

Pregnancy is a beautiful time in a woman’s life because you are growing a little life inside of you. Although a pregnant woman may look glorious many times they don’t feel it. Who am I kidding, it’s tough! I am half way through my 5th pregnancy and I’ve realized how each pregnancy has not only been harder but tougher on my body. I know some of it is chocked up to having had 4 other little ones and some of it can be chocked up to age.

However, when I read stuff online I realize there are many things they don’t tell you about pregnancy. So here’s a few Things they Don’t Tell You About Pregnancy.

Sneezes and laughs become a double edge sword..Always be prepared with extra underwear.

Food becomes your nemesis after the second trimester. Proceed with caution when eating acidic foods.

Things they don't tell you about pregnancy

You realize how hateful a bra is when you hit the end of your 2nd trimester.

Always check in the mirror before going anywhere chances are there’s some sort of stain on the bottom half of your shirt.

Just because you feel great don’t over do it, you’ll be paying the price later.

Everyone will have an opinion on your name choice so be ready for unsolicited advice.

The Realities of pregnancy

People will have an opinion on your pregnancy size. If you’re too small you’ll hear about it. If you’re too large people will ask if you’re having twin.

Getting out of Bed will become harder and harder. So plan accordingly…or not.

Shaving becomes an Olympic sport or a game or a game of Marco polo. Seriously sometimes it’s almost worth going Au natural.

Things they don't tell you about pregnancy

You really do second guess the importance of picking things up…quite honestly there are times I question it now at 27 weeks ;P

Things they don't tell you about pregnancy

Everyone will want to feel your stomach. It’s something that doesn’t bother me as much because i’m on my 5th but it is amazing how a pregnant belly has a sort of magnet for people’s hands…even complete strangers.   Things they don't tell you about pregnancy

In the end all those above things will stink, stink bad. However, when you see your precious little one in your arms it will all be worth it. So take it in stride, be prepared and enjoy the roller coaster that is  pregnancy 😀

The biggest shock that I had was the acne!!! All over my body. I had pimples here and there throughout the years, but my goodness. It’s definitely worse right now with my daughter than last year with my son. The bright red beacons of hormonal disruption are the only glow I have right now…

OMG the bladder control! LOL! It’s also why I didn’t realize my water broke at 23 weeks… On bedrest now at 28 weeks and still dealing with constant dripping… eesh.

I had a rough first pregnancy with nausea for all of my first and most of my second trimester. I felt great for a few weeks, then my son was born five weeks early! Another thing they never tell you is that even though pregnancy may not be enjoyable 100% of the time, you’ll likely miss it.

I also agree with everything, especially the heartburn and Chewbacca one! If she doesn’t have hair after the daily acid reflux I struggle trying to get a meal down around, I want a do-over…. (wait, wait, wait, … uh, nevermind!) And don’t even get me started on sneezing, or the fact that because everyone tells me I’m too small (groan!) why is my bladder so compromised???!!! Thanks for commiserating HA!

I am 22 weeks with number five in our family! Everyone will have advise, but mama knows best. I get told some of the craziest things and I nod and let it go in one ear and out the other. My oldest is 13 1/2 so I pretty much have this mama thing covered from all angles!
