We tend to forget so quickly how much fun it was to be a kid. Running through the grass barefooted, playing in the mud, chasing butterflies, or just soaking in the sun! Ah to be a kid again without the worries and stress of bills, health, work, etc… Make a promise to yourself to just be a kid once in a while. We need to go back to those times that were stress free and full of fun. It will make for healthier adults and in turn healthier relationships with our loved ones!
What will you do to recapture your childhood?

Swinging on swings and blowing bubbles! It’s so fun seeing the littles in my family flip out over bubbles like I used to.

February 22, 2014 at 7:24 pmI feel like a kid when I play with my children. I love building a boat or a train out of couch cushions.
February 21, 2014 at 9:33 amThe quote “All grown ups were once children, but only few of them remember it” is sad to me. I teach an after school Bible club and I am constantly picking out the “little Marcia’s”. I see a child who can’t sit still or is cracking up the class with their sense of humor and I see myself in those kids. And it’s not just the ones that are like me. I tell our kids often to be the type of friend that they would like to have, encouraging them to befriend an outsider.
February 21, 2014 at 1:51 amIn my mind I capture it. When I smell grass being cut and hear the sound of a lawn mower, I capture it. When I smell lilacs I capture it. Lots of things..

February 20, 2014 at 1:54 pmI’m very fortunate that my husband is a total kid at heart and keeps me young, even if I’m 7 years younger than he is!
February 20, 2014 at 1:01 pmI actually play with my kids often. We love getting dirty, we always go outside when it is raining and make mud pies and we like to cover the baby in mud. You are right, it takes away the stress of bills and life, even if it is for only an hour. Sometimes we spend all day outside. Kids are inside for too long nowadays. No sense of adventure outside of video games. Trust me, I love video games… my mom and I bonded when the Nintendo came out. She was the coolest that way. She stayed up till 2am playing Nintendo with me and my cousins. Anywho, I just think parents need to get their kids outside too.
February 20, 2014 at 12:06 pmI love being outside with my toddler. She is so curious about things and it is so fun to watch her learn and get excited about the little things. I should remember to get excited about all those little things like blow flowers and what not.
