Our Garden

Sharing is caring!

Lo watching the tractor tilling the soil

This year we decided to start a garden. We did one a few years ago but between the getting pregnant and moving to our new home we hadn’t done one for about 3 years. This year with the cost of things we decided to do one. Our next door neighbor who is obsessed with organic foods is also doing one and so her dad being the awesome man he is tilled and dug up the garden for us. Now it will be our job to figure out what we will put in and how much of it. She referred me to this great site called growveg.com which pretty much helps you set up and grid your garden and then it even tells how how close to plant things and what works and what doesn’t together. This program is excellent for someone like me that is completely inexperienced at gardening. (I am by no ways making a plug…haha) It’s free for the first 30 days and then you pay I think 24.00 a year which isn’t’ bad I guess. Either way I am still trying to figure it out so let’s see how our garden progresses. I will post pictures as we go but here is the beginning product.

PLOWED SOIL

final product 🙂

Once we move next week, depending on the size of the backyard, we have thought about starting a garden as well. We’ve never done it before, so it will no doubt be a challenge. With the economy the way it is, it would be dumb not too!
