I like a doctor who listens to me, and takes my values into consideration with treatment. Dr. Social would help with anyone picking a new doctor, but especially people new in town.

Parents tell other parents which Dr is best with kids, and this goes on with every type of health care professional out there. This is a wonderful service for everyone.

Living in a large city, what influences me when selecting a doctor is distance from my home.

I think it’s awesome that actual patients are able to provide opinions and reviews on physicians & their experiences with them! I do wonder though, is there anything in place that would prevent an innocent physician from falling victim to defamation?

What influences me are reviews written by actual patients, so this site is awesome.

Friends help the most, but this may work too. If a lot of people do reviews on the site.

Since we are a small community, mostly everyone knows all the doctors. I have had a nurse practitioner for years but she has since moved into a different area, I was very happy with her. I now have two NP’s and one Neurologist. One of my NP’s is very knowledgeable regarding Diabetes. With a few lifestyle changes and meds, diet and exercise I have brought my numbers down considerably, to the point where I cut out one of the insulins I was on and take very little of the insulin that I currently take.
