What I want and what I need are not the same things. I need nothing, I always want something, but in getting what I want I realize the anticipation of getting it was more fun than actually getting it and then I was left to dust it. SO….I really don’t have a material wish for the holidays, my wish is for people to follow the golden rule and treat people as they would want to be treated…that to me would improve the world and make it a wonderful holiday season.

My wish for this holiday season is that every family remembers to tell their loved ones how much this year has meant to them, because every year that we are on this Earth is a blessing and it is even more of a blessing to share it with your loved ones. I have always been far from my family and haven’t spent a holiday with my mom for 13 years, since her passing and haven’t spent a holiday with my dad for 8 years since he lives in another state. I have four sisters who all live in different states and we can’t afford to travel far. Luckily I have my husbands family and I am very thankful for that. I am 22 years old so the length of time I have been without seeing my family feels like an eternity.
