And I don’t mean just soda or alcoholic beverages. Staying hydrated with water is essential for your health during the summer months. Even when you don’t think you’re getting dehydrated your body might be dangerously close. Make water fun by adding cucumbers, lemons or berries!
2. Use Sunblock even on Cloudy days
Many people choose to sit out in the sun getting a tan,because this is the only time of year they may be able to. However, the sun is incredibly dangerous and skin cancer is on the rise. So make sure and get a good sunblock to protect your skin. All it takes is one bad sun burn to give you issues later on.
3. Make sure and keep pets and young children secure during heat
Sadly during the summer many people may forget they have their babies or pets with them because of the change of routine. Make sure and get into the habit of always putting something important in the back if you bring one of them with you on a car ride, so as to prevent a tragedy.
4. Get out and Exercise Early!
Noon is the hottest times during the day and going out between then and sun down could pose a risk of heat stroke. So it’s important to try and get our exercise in before mid day. Mornings are usually beautiful during the summer and ideal for getting in that much needed exercise.
5.Enjoy summer fresh foods
During the Summer you have more access to fresher fruits and vegetables. Although technology has made it possible for us to enjoy fruits and vegetables year round, there are some that are at their peak of deliciousness during the summer. Avocados, Cherries, Cucumbers,and lovely lettuces will make eating fresh,delicious food easy to do! Best of all these food are all full antioxidants and all the good stuff your body needs to stay healthy!
